It’s birthday time for Nick Feldman 🥳 the man behind the legendary new wave grooves of Wang Chung! Born in London in 1955, Nick helped bring us iconic hits like “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” and “Dance Hall Days”.
BTW, if you didn’t already know, “Wang Chung” means “yellow bell” — the first note in the Chinese classical music scale.

* Select music (60s–today) with at least 25% Aussie content
* Edit content using Zetta & Adobe Audition
* Co-ordinate volunteers & presenters

Nikki gained international fame at age 13 as the “Hero Girl” in the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Following this, she released the hit single “Strawberry Kisses” in 2001, which reached No. 2 on the Australian charts.
In recent years, Nikki has focused on her dance business, running three studios in New South Wales. She also appeared on “The Masked Singer Australia” in 2019 as the Alien.
In 2023, her song “Strawberry Kisses” experienced a resurgence when it became the unofficial anthem for the Matildas during the FIFA Women’s World Cup, leading to a surprise performance for the team.
On the personal front, Nikki married in 2012, and has two children

Can you believe that Willie Nelson is still touring this year, as part of the "Outlaw Music Festival" tour with Bob Dylan. The tour includes other artists like Billy Strings and Sheryl Crow. Willie Nelson is scheduled to play 33 concerts across one country throughout 2025-2026. While Australia is not a location on the current tour, it is possible he will have future tour dates announced. Amazing! 🤩
